Hi, I’m Norman Cerny (he/him) a Licensed Independent Social Worker and the therapist behind Small Works Counseling. I’m here to offer a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment, pressure, or the need to mask.

My approach is calm, collaborative, and deeply affirming. I work with many neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism, and I fully recognize and respect self-diagnosis. You don’t have to prove your experience to me I trust that you know yourself best.

I also specialize in LGBTQ+ care, especially supporting gay, trans, and gender-expansive clients through identity exploration, transition-related questions, relationship challenges, and family dynamics. My relationship work is poly-affirming, kink-aware, and nonjudgmental, honoring the many ways people build connection and intimacy.

My clinical background includes:

  • Trauma-focused therapies (EMDR, TF-CBT)

  • ADHD support for children, teens, and adults

  • Queer Issues and Support

Above all, I believe therapy should feel safe, accessible, and human.
If you’re looking for a therapist who respects your whole identity and meets you where you are, I’d be honored to work with you.

Practicing in Ohio and West Virginia
