Types of therapy interventions

  • At our practice, we offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from trauma, distressing memories, anxiety, and other overwhelming life experiences. EMDR supports the brain’s natural ability to process and resolve difficult experiences without having to talk in detail about the trauma.

Whether you're living with PTSD, struggling with painful memories, or feeling stuck due to past events, EMDR may help you move forward. Our trained therapists provide a safe, affirming space to explore EMDR at your own pace, with full respect for your boundaries and lived experience.

  • Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that emphasizes your strengths, resilience, and what’s already working. Instead of dwelling on problems, we work together to identify meaningful changes you want to see and the steps to get there one small success at a time.

This approach is ideal if you're looking for practical tools, short-term support, or help navigating specific challenges like anxiety, relationship issues, or life transitions. You don’t have to have it all figured out just a sense of what “better” might look like. We’ll build from there.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a values-based approach that helps you build a life that feels meaningful even when you're struggling. Instead of fighting difficult thoughts or emotions, ACT helps you make room for them while taking actions aligned with what matters most to you.

ACT is especially helpful for people dealing with anxiety, trauma, OCD, ADHD, and major life transitions. It blends mindfulness, self-compassion, and behavioral strategies to support you in showing up for your life more fully even when it’s messy.

Our approach to ACT is gentle, affirming, and grounded in your lived experience. You don’t need to fix yourself you just need space to grow into who you already are.

  • TF-CBT is a structured, evidence-based therapy designed to help children and adolescents heal from traumatic experiences including abuse, neglect, loss, or witnessing violence. This approach blends trauma-informed care with practical CBT tools, helping young people process their experiences, manage difficult emotions, and rebuild a sense of safety and trust.

TF-CBT also actively involves caregivers, offering guidance and support to help families heal together. Whether your child is struggling with nightmares, anxiety, emotional outbursts, or withdrawal, TF-CBT creates a safe, compassionate space for recovery.

We understand the deep impact trauma can have on kids, teens, and families and we approach this work with warmth, cultural humility, and a commitment to meeting your child where they are

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By identifying unhelpful patterns and learning new ways to respond, CBT can support you in creating lasting change on your terms.

CBT is often used to treat anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma responses, and self-critical thinking. In our work together, you’ll learn how to challenge harmful narratives, build coping tools, and move through life with more clarity and self-trust.

We approach CBT through a trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and culturally aware lens because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. Your voice, values, and goals guide the process.
